The volume La didattica del cinese in Italia nelle scuole e nelle università provides an overview of the diffusion and teaching of Chinese in Italy, with a specific focus on secondary schools and universities. Taking into consideration the results of a research study conducted by the University for Foreigners of Siena in collaboration with the Confucius Institute of Pisa, the work analyzes the regulatory framework, the evolution of educational pathways, and the most widespread teaching practices in Italy, providing a detailed snapshot of the academic year 2015/2016. The text also offers updated data for the 2020/2021 school year thanks to the inclusion of a specific and detailed appendix, and it aims to serve as a useful tool for understanding the growing role of Chinese in Italian educational contexts. The work is written in Italian and Chinese, with the aim of promoting its wider dissemination and facilitating the development of effective language policies.
